Those very nice people at Linn are sending me a new P-clip and Klamp for my Ekos tonearm cable which was missing when bought secondhand.
Can anyone pass on any helpful advice re. fitting?

Many thanks.
Unlike the first white P-clip and Klamp for the T.kable the black one shall be mounted as shown in the picture, i.e. towards the back of the TT.
It keeps the signal cable away from the power, and reduces the possible noise picked up by the sensitive T-Cable.

Makes more of a difference to the sound than you would think!

Regards,

David

That's a pretty heavy looking cable connecting the Keel to the earth on the cross-member. Are you worried about the Keel being struck by lightening? Shy

Heh, heh. Usually disconnect the whole shebang when lightening occur.

That picture is in fact not my LP12. I don't have this heavy duty earth cable in my LP12 but the black one that was part of the Keel package.....

Hey all,

I'm attempting to fit in the p-klip and klamp and it does not allow me enough room to fasten the baseboard on afterwards. Because of the larger size of the 'newer' clip (it's the white one) it hangs down lower. How did those of you who have this clip fit it exactly?

I rotated the clip so it's facing inside the table, then re-routed the lingo power cable around the other side of its connector so it doesn't influence the tonearm cable. Also, did you have to enlarge the hole in the plinth to accomodate the larger size of the t-kable?

Many thanks,

Braden

Braden, could you possible post a photo of your setup.

It is difficult to advise without seeing the age/design of your plinth.

Cheers,

David

Ask Linn to send you the latest black one. Much better than the white and fits against the rear of the TT. Then you can place the cable from the Lingo-board the correct way without any interferences.

The T-kable is bigger than the regular Ekos cable and it's a little tight to get the base-board in place but it's possible in both my 1997-plinth and my 2008-plinth without any modifications.

Thanks, I might just order that newer version. Setting up this turntable is like woodworking, measure twice, cut once...

My plinth in an 84k model from 1990. I doesn't have the cirkus upgrade from what I can tell, but I'm not sure exactly how you can tell. Also, I just recently installed the lingo power supply and from what I read I am supposed to remove the spring and ball from the bottom motor cap. I did that and now I hear a faint noise coming from the motor. Is this correct?

What I wouldn't do for a reputable dealer within a thousand miles of here!
