I asked this question in the 'Songbook' thread but with no replies I am asking this now in the main forum for the DS:

Is anybody else apart from the developers of Songbook and PlugPlayer still developing software for using the iPod Touch/Phone to control a Linn DS ?

Yes,

I'm still here - I'm just finishing off some other DS control solutions (Which you'll be hearing about soon enough). I then hope to have a 'lite version of a DS / iPhone controller out before Christmas with a full version to follow soon after that.

You guys got it all wrong. It is a mind controlled playlist generator for Linn DS devises. It is based on the "mind controlled weapons delivery system" Clint Eastwood was using in the movie Firefox. He stole a MIG fighter that had this system in the movie. Must be 25 years old and should be a reality today, Big Grin Surely we need not wear a helmet though with sensors today!

If somebody could do a deal with Pandora to leverage their Music Genome and provide a playlist generator that outperforms the rather predictable MusicIP or iTunes Genius equivalents, now that would be interesting.

Slimserver already has that: from a currently playing track, e.g., by the artist Peverelist, one can choose a menu item to start Peverelist Pandora radio, so it is certainly possible. Maybe it is possible with Linn now if you are using the plug-in thing that make s DS look like a squeezebox and thus work with slimserver (don't know - haven't tried it - waiting for the NAS version).
