So now we have got over the euphoria of the Keel for that fluffy old relic, the ARO, I hope Linn HQ can revert back to developing the proper LP12 again.

What do we want chaps? Big Grin

What do we what? Indeed

It's like a riddle wrapped in a conundrum.
Anyway, you are getting way ahead of yourself. The euphoria hasn't even started yet - apparently we are waiting for the 'official' Linn press release before the euphoria can begin in earnest ;-).
I'm not sure what else could possibly be designed/upgraded for ye old LP12. Maybe a more affordable arm that bridges the gap between the Akito & Ekos SE. Cartridges will always see improvements & there's nothing stopping you from buying more expensive offerings from alternate manufacturers.... the Lingo; is it possible to improve upon it with the current motor? Maybe an improved TT mat & clamping system.
Ok, lets predict:
new look for Lingo and Linto, AV Casework - maybe 1/2 width.
new cartrigdes - Klyde and Akiva replacement (Akiva SE?)
new Klimax level PSU (Klimax Supply?) Big Grin
new Klimax level phono-stage (Klimax Phono?)
Hi

I think there is a lot of mileage in updating the Lingo but yes it may be that a new motor is required to maximise the performance gain. Totally agree about the arm lineup being bolstered mid-range, its got to be a good thing. Trouble for Linn is, many owners would rather get an Ekos2, where a really nice s/h one can be purchased for little more than a new Akito.

Not really keen on the clamping system idea myself. Takes a longer to change records/sides.....

Blimey Fannie, you have the whole product range sorted for Linn there. All looks good to me Cool

Unfortunately, your "Klimax Phono" has come along a bit too late for me but I really like the idea of a "Klimax Supply", maybe in conjunction with a SEmotor?

That may be so but they are not exactly available in abundance s/h. There's always a s/h market for those that like to trust in such things or just can't afford the new price.
Perhaps they should either reintroduce the EKOS 2 or make an Ittok mk4 Smile

A new arm would also fit in the system structure:

Akito/Adikt - Majik
New arm/Klyde - Akurate
Ekos SE/Akiva - Klimax

But please don't call the new arm "Akurate tonearm"! Big Grin
but, there is allready the majik lp12, with his pro-ject tonearm, so it is:

complete majik Lp12 -majik
akito/klyde - akurate
ekos se/akiva - klimax
