If you had a choice between these two models (price is not a factor) which ones would you get and why. Thanks for the input.
242's. No question.

Is there a reason you prefer the 242s over the 320As? I would be using my Solos to run the 242s where as the 320As are integrated active and I could part with my Solos.

Thanks for the feedback.

That's actually one more reason for 242's: Solos are the best amps in the world, don't part with them! (The inbuilt amps, on the other hand, are on Akurate-level.)
Artikulats (and probably also Klimax speakers) are too laid back for my taste. The groove factor of the Akurates is missing. The (new) 242's will also give you fullrange presentation. Akurates on Solos are GREAT!

Thanks. I like the idea of the groove factor. I listen to a lot of Rock music. That is why I have kept my Aerials for so long. They are not "state of the art" by todays standards but I have not found anything else that can take a punishment like they can and never break a sweat.

I do not see it in your signature but do you have 242s?

Not yet. But I'm planning to get them next year (after the Klimax Kontrol Upgrade).

Excellent. I will be getting my KK upgrade in the next few weeks.

go for the 242's they offer the better allround option and sound IMO
Well...

I went from 242 with a brace of Klimax amps (some Solo, some Twin) to 350A and wouldn't go back for a fairly high percentage of the tea in China. Yes the Solo is the best amp there is, pity the 242 aren't the best speakers.

I found the 242's disappointing to live with, 212 were much better.

I would only really consider using Klimax level amps into Komris - or possibly Kans / Isobariks

Did you run a sub with the 212s? Also, if you had an option to get Articulat 320As at a great price versus the 242s or 212s being run by Solos, what would you get?

Thanks.
