...I'm not sure if it breaks any policies; but having upto date recommended retail pricelists available on here would be great...its easy to find prices for the major items, but its the less mainstream bits and pieces and upgrade kits that i can never seem to find...

...perhaps they could be posted for the various territories as PDF...
Totally agree. I have always found Linn willing to send me GBP price lists so why not reduce both our workload! A couple of German dealers have posted euro price lists on their sites, I believe their VAT rate is 19% whereas here in Portugal we have 20% - shouldn't matter much. Perhaps we will have a co-oridinated Eurozone VAT cut similar to the December 1st UK cut from 17.5% to 15%. The recent fall in the £ versus the euro has left some euro prices looking silly, so it may be an opportunity to correct that. Must be quite difficult to manage, as there is an argument for protecting existing customers' investment, but there must be a middle road...

Seeing this price list, I find the European prices even more outrageous!
Examples:

Ekos SE: UK £2950 (= 3570 Euros); Europe: 4950 Euros
Keel: UK £1950 (= 2360 Euros); Europe: 3200 Euros
Klimax DS: UK: £9600 (= 11,600 Euros); Europe: 15,000 Euros

I wonder how this can be justified? I wouldn't mind a modest premium, but more than 40%??

From tomorrow, VAT in the UK drops from 17.5% to 15%. So prices should be a little bit less. E.g. Klimax DS should be approx £9400.

Don't start discussions about product pricing, there endless Smile

It's the same problem with dealer margins, mostly 50% or more Sad
Prices dropping like widescreens will never happen, the hifi world protects itself from it ..

Exactly - one would hope that this is the case, too, although no joy to our European friends on here. Given the above examples, we should now see (approximately):-

Ekos SE - £2888
Keel - £1909
Klimax DS - £9396

I hope this is honoured, as I can see that the more unscrupulous folk (generally, not necessarily hi-fi sellers/manufacturers) could either ignore the drop or not drop enough, thereby increasing their slice, although in fairness to Linn (hopefully!) that price list does state "prices inclusive of VAT at 17.5%" so we should see a change.
