One of my favourite albums of all time is "Hats" by the Blue Nile (so much so that i'm doing an overnight round trip from leeds to glasgow next month to see their first concert together in years) which was released on Linn Records.

...things changed and the followup was released on a different record label - and i'm guessing the back catalogue also went over to the new label as part of the deal.

I'd really love to get hold of a studio master copy of this and the preceeding album - however its not availible of the Linn records site (i'm sure for publishing and rights reasons) but wondered if anybody could clarify my understanding as to status of the availibility (or the prospect thereof) of these couple of titles in studio master.
Yes, I'd be interested in "Walk Across The Rooftops" too - great album.

Me Too!!! Tinseltown in the rain is in my personal top 5 tracks of all time.
Count me in!!! I demoed that album a few hundred times when I worked for the local Linn dealer 22 years ago!
If votes count for anything, me too!!
Yes Please

Walk Across The Rooftops and Hats on SACD or Studio Master would be dream come true.
I think early Linn releases were actually done through Virgin Records but I may be wrong.
Would be nice for someone at Linn Records to comment though.
Both Walk and Hats are in my top 100. Peace probably in top 200. Imagine studio qual...
Oh yes....first album got me into LINNCool

Its Blue Nile but not as we knew them; PJ(keyboards) is no longer in the fold major bust up with him and Paul;no reason,I dont think they'll have the same soundSad I'll not be going to the gig(politics)
The vocals will be up to scratch tho' Pauls voice is amazing live

I have been fortunate enough to see Blue Nile on the peace at last tour-years ago-the saw Paul Buchanan in Dublin -it was basically Blue Nile minus PJ-still Robert Bell on bass-then the same band called themselves The Blue Nile for a gig in belfast in oct 07-all the gigs were superb with brilliant sound-and you wont notice the change in Keyboard player as the new players are all excellent! Enjoy-they will be truly memorable!
