...I've just created my 50th post (how time flies!) and got an extra reputation star as a result...

I was thinking that perhaps that this was a qualititive rating and my reputation would be judged by you - my peers - based on the eloquance and quality of my prose...apparantly not, its size that matters!

...question however, are there any other ways we can rate (or berate!) eachothers contribution to the community?
Use the reputation tab for each user.

I've just given you a nominal vote (For testing purposes).

For example see here {For me :-) }:

PS I hope I get quality & quantity!

hmmm.....i'm clearly being thick here.

I was thinking that the "stars" were related to reputation, but now i'm not convinced as reputation is represented as a number, and the stars are...well; stars!

...the stars don't seem to have been affected by by newly enhanced reputation (thanks!) and neither does yours by your new found status (youre welcome!)

so a followup question - are the stars related to reputation, prolificacy or something else??

Likely number of posts.

Apparently you start with 2 stars, get 3 after some posts, not sure when.
Admin people have 5 stars.

Two stars = 50+ posts
Three starts = 150+ post (I can't remember exactly)
Four stars = 250+ posts
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........................................

Hopefully my reputation level does not speak for me.......................

Not really important, but you DO start with 2 stars as I wrote. Please check the persons with less than 5 posts.

... and I've only got 3 stars. :-(
At a guess....

2 stars - When you start
3 stars - After 50 posts
4 stars - After 250 posts
5 stars - Admin or 1000 posts?!!

Reputation is related to how many people give you a positive rating.
