Sorry if this sounds like cheesey "music-first-would-rather-listen-to-live-performances" prioritisation, but this forums could really do with a music recommendation section
Currently listening to Solar Fields "Leaving Home"

"Twinkle Echo" by "Casiotone for the Painfully Alone".
Returned to this after seeing him recently in Glasgow - the best gig this year as far as I'm concerned. Like an old-fashioned gig where you feel something important is being said/done - kinda miss that feeling sometimes these days.
Great to see him live - he really knows his crazy collection of electronics, and has a beautiful feeling for how and when to disrupt a song with new layers of distorted square-wave in a way that somehow contains meaning, memories, and hints at a future previosuly beyond grasp.

beautiful recording and a lovely voice, thanks to Classsik on the other Linn forum for the recommendation.

Good call! Just tried out a few mp3 tracks on their website and they're now on my "to buy" list. Thanks
Andrew
Here's a vinyl favourite that's due to hit the shelves as a CD in 2010 (!?!?!?) - completely different sleeve from the originals. "Proof Through the Night" actually my favourite album ever!
On top of that, some great news, a new album from T-Bone Burnett due this year:
Happy happy joy joy

Another well recorded, very live sounding disc, with some fantastic songs on it..
Seems to be only me listening to music
