Anybody experience with the new Nevo S70 remote?

It should operate the complete Linn system and also all DS functions
via Wifi.

Anybody news on the S70?
I do agree with SaltyDog about the price, but would it not be great to have one for all remote? The S70 apparently can handle infrared and wifi equipment in one remote. So from Klimax DS to Sat Receiver, even Beamer, all only one remote and not bad looking either. I asked my Linn dealer if he has tried it out. Just waiting for some positive feedback and i go for it.

i have a nevo sl for the last 3 years.. i am very happy in general but the battery life is not very good and lately i have problems with the hard keys. i was thinking to buy the new NEVO S70. Does anyone know if i can control both my IR-controlled AV equipment and also my RF-controlled curtain system using the new NEVO S70? with my nevo sl i could not do that because it only sends IR codes.. Does anyone know if i will be able to program and be able to control my RF-controlled curtains using the NEVO S70?

AL so, can i still download in a NEVO S70 and use my current project that i created and use for my old Nevo SL?

Thanks
I've had an S70 working with Linn DS. Everything works fine including album art, etc... The only problem we have found at the moment is that playback does not work through albums and only plays single tracks and then you have to select the next. Linn are working on this problem as we speak!!!

Hi

I am informed by Linn that they have a Beta Test release that solves the single track playback problem - i have asked them for a copy as Nevo show zero interest.

We have been using the SL for all UPNP control including DS , Twonky etc for some time.

We have agreed (with Nevo) to offer to support any dealer or end user for the SL to work with the DS range and any UPNP device - this includes downloadable templates and telephone support to get control running quickly.

You do not need to buy anything from us and all support is free - it is just another way we can encourage manufacturers to talk to each other about cross compatibility as we can act for a central point to feed any issues back to all parties.

Just call the office - 02890 776677 - 10am to 5PM UK time and ask for Ralph - he is one of our senior support engineers and has been handed responsibility for Nevo.

We do have a Beta release of code from Nevo, which resolves the single-track playback issue, and gives several other improvements. However Linn received this software on condition that we only used it internally to verify Nevo's fixes and check for any other issues. Hence Nevo's customers will have to wait until such time as Nevo make this software available to them
