Hi,

I almost had a Heart failure when I received my last electricity utility bill from my "Government-ran" power company. Since August last year the Kw/hr price has soared from USD $0.18/Kwh to USD $0.31/Kwh!!!

I'm just wondering how this compares to costs on other places.

One more reason to completely power-off my system when not in use... Sad

By the way I live in the Caribbean (Puerto Rico) with no refinery and all oil/gas is imported...
In Poland we have energy prices has risen 30% up. Sad
Good thing, that I haven't got Class A power amp.
In Denmark $0.345/kwh. We have regulary heart attacks.
I use ecofriendly electricity generated in a local hydroelectric facility (EUR 0,19/Kwh. Therefore I can leave my system in stand-by modus without having a guilty conscience. Wink

EUR 0,19 = USD $0.2955!

Wow! Not a good example of a cheaper alternative (great is eco-friendly!)

Hey Linn, how are those Class-D amps coming along? Wink

I live in California where energy is absurdly expensive. Now, I leave my system in standby most of the time when I am not actively listening (with the exception of the Tivo). However, I think the two PCs plus the storage server (on all the time) really suck all the energy. With the wife doing laundry for three young kids, we average about $650 per month. Uggh, maybe I can add some solar panels to my roof. Smile
$650.00!!!!!!!

I'm complaining for $225.00 for 740Kw a month...
That was for 2280 KwH.

Well, in cents/Kwh it's cheaper than in Puerto Rico ($0.285).
