Hi all,
I am looking for a more elegant way to control the Kivor than using RCU's or the Kivor app.
Is it possible to get LinnGUI to control it ? I think not as the Kivor is not uPnP.
I would ideally like to use an iPhone or Nevo remote and have the track info / room displayed on there - is anyone working on such an App ? I have tried running VNC on an iPhone to a PC running the Kivor app but whilst it works it is not great.
I have also tried Xiva Producer which controls the Kivor but this is not fantastic either.
I'm really looking for a cost effective way to remotely control the Kivor from a remote control device and provide track info, album art etc.
I can do this on a PC running iTunes, but not on a Kivor - any ideas ?
Thanks.

Try KINIK it works, needs own Lan connection, but you can see all track, title etc.give feed back to the pda screen
Acer N300 PDA is best - controls Kisto, Unidisks pekin with rs232 card but to my knowledge is not currently being develped for new products, DS for rxample.
I spoke to Linn earlier in the week and was told that it was not available. Can you advise where I can get it from.
Thanks.

I have a Kinik, it normally work with a Kisto (as Ido) or the Kinos, to control those products, but the Kivor has it's own LAN input and may work without a control amp - you need to ask linn this.
I can email you a copy to your own email.
but i think it is still on the site downloads

Kinik is a wireless controller for kinos and kisto you won't be able to control the kivor on it's own without either of these in the system.
Kinik can be downloaded from the linfo site.
I've seen an AMX programmation control the Kivor (and even a whole Knekt system), but it's neither easy, nor cost effective...
Hi Oliver, yes I really like to see Linn step up and offer proper control for Kivor / Knekt at an affordable price level. I'll be honest and say that I am thinking of changing the Kivor to an Imerge as you get much better control and integration from that.
Hi,
How were you able to connect Producer to your Kivor. I have an AMS and Producer won't connect to it and doesn't seem to be able to "see" it on the network. Thanks for your help.
