Anyone visit the Heathrow Show this weekend?
How does the "competition" compare/contrast with what Linn are currently doing in terms of sound quality?
Maybe too vague a question, but just interested in general impressions of both digital and analogue presentations.

It was very empty compared with past years and I fear for it's continued existence to be honest. There were some good sounds actually and the lack of big crowds conversely meant that it was a lot more conducive to good listening. However, whether it is sustainable for companies to fork out good money to exhibit to ever decreasing audiences is in doubt.
Shame, the Bristol show last year (where Linn demoed the SE upgrades) was very well attended. Lots of companies, lots of people, lots of LPs to buy too.
Yes, these 'new' audiophile shows don't seem to do to well. Trying to be to specialist rather than a wider audience. I think the lack of exhibitors keeps even die hards away.
I say bring back the Hi-Fi news show, it was good, cramed with exhibitors & public alike. Even Linn liked to attend

Always a good sign when big manufacturers come along. They were the days when 2 FULL days were required to appreciate what was there. I loved all the freebies too
