Hi

Just heard back from one of the PV senior engineers a few moments ago and he has officially logged it as a bug (DLNA-4269) so it will be tracked and thus addressed in a future release. Smile

Hi

PV is actually working to investigate it at this very moment (I've just had another email). Interestingly, they spotted something else; it's not just embedded art that is the issue, but date format plays a part too.

If you have no art (i.e. no embedded art nor folder.jpg) and you set the date as 2000, it appears in 0000. If you take the same album (with no art) and change the date to 2010-01-01 or 2010 01 01, it works fine and appears under 2010, so it's just the combination of having both a short date format (yyyy) and no embedded art that causes this to happen (and it doesn't actually matter whether you have a folder.jpg or not).

While we're at the subject of dates: any chance that Twonky 7 will let us sort our albums (within 1 album artist) by date?

I have not asked about any of the anticipated T7 features as it is not appropriate to probe companies about unreleased products. That said, your request has been made by a surprising quantity of others (on the Twonky forum) so they likely know it's wanted by some.

I have suggested many other things in the past (not just limited to the below) to be considered for future projects:

Recently added being in album format
Links not broken at db rebuild
Albumartst used - where exists - in albums container (instead of artist name; I believe Foobar does it that way)
Modular tree files which can be user uploaded via the web interface (e.g. an Albumartist module added to their standard tree)
Way to show entire album from track/artist/composer search (to search for say a composer on a multi-composer album, then be able to play the entire album)

It is possible that some of these things will be considered (or not) but I have no idea which (if any).

This may not be the right place to put this question. I am running Twonky 6.0.33 and using Kinsky desktop. The system rearranged the content of music folders alphabetically which makes nonsense of some albums. I listen to Classical music and a mass, say, is listed in alphabetical order which ruins thepiece Is it possible to address this? Do I need to modify the trees as suggested in this thread? I also have a problem in that sometimes Kinsky only plays two tracks of an album and then stops. Any advice would be most welcome. I am floundering more than somewhat.

Daniel

Sounds like you might have your DS set to "upnpav" rather than "playlist". Check in Konfig.

Hi

Twonky default trees sort folder view by alphabetical track name as opposed album track number (though all other menu items are okay). If you wish to sort things by track number in the folder views too, my custom trees will do that.

Hi

Thanks due, as usual to Briain.

After much head scratching I discovered that the space is critical between the * and the dot in the copy command - works much better!

Hi,
and first of all thanks a lot to Briain for the great effort in helping all Linn DS users!
I came to this thread because the standard tree that Twonky provides does not show or support the composers tag. Unfortunately I couldn't follow the installation guidelines for your tree because I have only Mac computers and thus can't run PuTTy.
Is there any other way I will get my Qnap 419p+, Twonky 6.0.34, Majik DS system to let me browse for composers with my approx. 20000 flac files?
Thanks very much and greetings from Germany
Oliver
