I realise we are of topic, so maybe join Vinyl Engine? If I get time I'll update the thread on VE.
RE: Woodsong Plinths - Chris H - 2011-10-14 03:58 ![]() Wenge plinth, and the most recent incarnation of the wall shelf! I like this shelf a lot.. RE: Woodsong Plinths - brf - 2011-10-14 14:54 I like that support/shelf. Is that a glass shelf? RE: Woodsong Plinths - Chris H - 2011-10-14 15:50 Yes it is a glass shelf. The same thickness and bevel as Fraim glass. RE: Woodsong Plinths - Red Rooster - 2011-10-14 18:47 (2011-10-14 03:58)Chris H Wrote: Chris, Great shelf, what is it? RR RE: Woodsong Plinths - Chris H - 2011-10-14 18:58 It is still unnamed.. almost ready for release. RE: Woodsong Plinths - SaltyDog - 2011-10-14 19:34 Will the shelves come finished to match plinths? RE: Woodsong Plinths - John Bailey - 2011-10-23 16:27 I just wish to pass on my thanks to Chris Harban of Woodsong Audio and Peter Swain of Cymbiosis for creating and installing a fluted walnut plinth to my LP12. I met them both at the Whittlebury Show and am hugely impressed with their craftsmanship and friendly warmth. I have had my deck since about 1995 and over the years it has had various upgrades but the plinth had started to look a little tired in places – when Chris showed me the fluted walnut (my preferred finish) I jumped at the chance and fixed up a session with Peter to install it. Clearly a very comprehensive and well run premises in Leicester, Peter invested time discussing and demonstrating the various options available to help maximise value and satisfaction. About 3 hours later my deck had been rejuvenated with the plinth, Trampolin Mk2 and a new DV-20X2. I had also considered a new top plate but have put this off for the moment as I Khan do better when funds allow… Watching Peter working away whilst chatting and listening to music in the background was a real pleasure. His obvioius competence and attention to detail – explained every step along the way – was fascinating indeed. So, again – many thanks to Peter and his staff but also to Chris whose workmanship is an absolute joy. Oh… and it all sounds fabulous and the picture does not do it justice! RE: Woodsong Plinths - Black Johnny - 2011-10-25 11:44 I like that walnut fluted. Almost as good as mine ![]() Have you thought about putting shrink wrap on that ARO arm rest (although I'm sure you discussed that with Peter)?
