So do I but I would be paranoid that I would bump into it - bearing in mind its proximity to the LP12.

I also like the use of the window ledge for the tuner.

Hi James...

Well, I built some of them, they are awesome, but I could not make the price point I wanted. When I actually took the shelf to full finish, the price was too high. At $700, I did not really want to make them. $1000 seems like a lot for a wall shelf, and at that, I still do not have a dealer margin, so it is a no go. $600-$700 is what I was aiming for. Very happy with the shelf design though. I have 3 mounted on my walls, sold one, and have 4 more unfinished, sitting in my shop. Not sure where they will end up.. definitely not the landfill!

The performance is excellent, they look great, not like industrial welded metal, it mounts with 2 screws, a screw gun and a level, and it will hold a lot of weight.

Chris,

I would not be surprised that Linn had similar concerns when they priced out the Keel. Price the shelf where you feel it is worth your time add the dealer markup and let the dealers do their job selling it. There are alot of SE LP12s out there sitting on less than adequate stands and racks. If it's
as good as you say ........it will sell. Don't underestimate your audience or your reputation.

All is well!

James

I second James' post. I look forward to a CH plinth as part of my upgrade path despite the fact that here are cheaper alternatives.

Chris sad news I'm afraid, I spoke to Ian today and although he no longer wants the pews he was horrified at the thought of them being cut up. Apparently they were his great Grand Parents family pew in the old church they attended. So it's a non starter I'm afraid. Sorry about that. If he changes his mind I'll let you know.

I'll keep my eye out for another source as quite often I see adverts for old wood such as church pews or doors.

Chris,

I would love to see somes pics of the wall mounted turntable stand. I assume the four remaining stands are for sale? Have any dealers tried them out? I hope you reconsider your decision. Let the forum give you some feedback before you make your final decision. How many folks on this forum would like to know more about this product? If you are interested......Its sink or swim time!

All is Well,

James

It can tread water for a while too... Yes, I need to send a couple out to some dealers, let some opinions form. I will post some pics in the next couple of weeks

I know a sawyer in Kent who can help convert the wood into a shippable form.
