Just had a quick look round before heading off home.........

What do think?

Pretty bulletin board - will check website now

1st impression - pics are a bit odd

Layout is doing my head in, was expecting list of products

Community is an odd place to put News - perhaps better at the top by itself

NO DSM!!!!!!!!!

No it is really doing my head in - DSM is NOT in products but rest of DS is but it is in a separate Systems drop down. It is not logical Captain!!

No details on the DSM products - at least I could not see them. No mention of whether you can get Bluray surround sound!!

I see DSM's. Majik, Akurate as well as Klimax. But the Majik DSM looks like a renamed Majik DS-I to me? No HDMI etc on the Majik.

The new site is a bit confusing to navigate IMO.

It's well laid out and now it's much easier to see links to Linn systems and so on.
More professional - more Linn

This newer version seems to be a little slower to operate, and takes more time to respond to commands. But overall, very interesting in a positive way.

Finally found Akurate DSM details, now only has two phono and one XLR analogue input. Interesting on the 'Preamp' section:
Analog sources have optional ‘direct’ path with analog volume control. All other sources and ‘non-direct’ analog sources use a hybrid volume control. Hybrid volume control combines course analog attenuation with fine digital adjustment.

There is no mention at all of decoding audio over HDMI i.e. not even Dolby Digital let alone Dolby True HD

What I am seeing is raising more questions and concerns than answering pre-website questions.

Looks a bit like IKEA to me...

RE: The New Linn website - CJ1045 - 2011-10-10 19:06

Now that is a sharp observation - I can see what you mean.

I do not find images of the available finishes for the LP12 plinth or speaker cabinets. I assume seeing those would be interesting for potential Linn owners?

Hi Teme,

Lot's more features being added over the coming days, including the aforementioned finishes.

This really is just the start!
