ipod touch/ ipad - ADIKT - 2010-09-17 12:05

If I decided to use an apple touch/pad, how many GB do I need? I think a very small storage should be sufficient, if I use it only for controlling an DS - is that correct?

Yes but try to factor in whatever else you might use it for, when you realise how much fun it is. Smile

I got one at launch and decided, as Yogi Berra would say, to take the fork in the road and get the 32 gb. I use it a lot, but I've never had more than 16 gb on it. Again, it depends on how you will use it, but you can do a lot with the base version.

Right, but speaking from experience, you will always want more than you have as time passes and more and more attractive apps end up on your iPad.

You should get the 3G version if navigation and the built-in compass sound interesting.

A second vote for 3G. It is brilliant when you are out and about and you can sign up for a day at a time with O2 meaning you only pay for it when you need it.

I regret not getting the 3G.

Also get am much size as you can - each issue of Wired takes up 1/2 Gb.

I also keep all my PDF books on it (& about 8Gb of photos).

In answer to your question, yes the lowest spec will work as a contol point.

Thank you all for your input - things are getting clearer for me now!

I was thinking about one also, then I did some reading on the net......

So does it Multi task yet ?
Does it support Adobe flash on websites ?
No USB without an adaptor ?
Poor virtual keyboard for typing ?
Over priced..... I could live with the other reported short comings..

So it can't replace a laptop, which was an idea to me to help justify the price..... So as a control point for a DS it's dam expensive, surely the phone/pod is better option ? ..... or a little 10.1" net book ?
