New Kinetix Re Remote control with iPad
I am using my Ipad with SongBook to control my Klimax DS and want to use the New Kinetix "Re" Universal remote control (which is an accessory pluged into the iPad) to control my other Linn devices. Does anyone know what IR code the Linn remote control uses? I think it should be a 4 digit code..
Thanks to anyone who can help. John |

RE: New Kinetix Re Remote control with iPad
The 4 digit codes may differ depending on the manufacturer of the universal remote.
Based on the information on their website, the Kinetix device appears to use a built-in database that is searchable by manufacturer - you can simply test each code to see which one works for the device you are controlling. Alternatively it supports IR learning so you can just learn the codes from your original Linn handset. Majik DS, Sonos Multiroom, HP MediaSmart 475EX (WHS/Asset) |

Thanks, Could not find any code in their database to suite. But have used the IR Learning feature. All working well. Can recommend using an iPad and NewKinetics"RE" together withh SongBook to control a complete linn system, stored music, and Sky and extras such as lighting and blinds.

RE: New Kinetix Re Remote control with iPad
Cool - Incidentally, Linn use a fairly standard Philips code for the DS - CD commands are the same as for Linn, Naim, Arcam, Cyrus and some other manufacturers too so if Linn isn't there maybe one of the others might be.

@johnaj
Are you still satisfied with the Kinetix solution? I'll get an Anthem pre instead of my Linn AK and I want to use my iDevice for changing the volume on the D2v...
