I will be getting a NAS very soon and probably a Netgear one but I have been using the laptop as a music server and so wanted to get up and running as simply as possible

As for the iTunes artwork yes songs purchased from the iTunes store come with artwork embedded but all of my music was ripped from Cd to .aiff lossless using iTunes as the ripper and in this case it keeps all of the artwork in a separate file to the actual music and stitches them together to view in iTunes

It means if you point other software at the music it cannot see the artwork

So I need some mac software that will find and embed the artwork in file directly

There appears to be plenty of windows software that will do this but not any for Mac
