Missing songs on nas
Hi guys.
Some of my songs have disappeared from my nas. A couple of my Eminem albums for example now only have 8 songs or so. A james morrison song I like off a now album has also gone. God only knows what else has visited the Bermuda triangle! Could it be corrupt sections on the nas? How do I check? Any thoughts and suggestions gratefully accepted and digested.

Have you checked the files on the NAS directly? It may be that they're still there but simply not available, for some reason, via your media server.
Also, you do have a backup, don't you?

its a one tb mirrored nas mick, so yeah, all my stuff is duplicated. apparently! Smile

Try a rebuild, I had a situation where songs I had just ripped were not showing yet were in the folder. Did a rebuild and they appeared. Have you checked where they are stored?

yup, there on my nas, not on phone via bubble ds. will see if they show up on kinsky desktop. If i can work it !

I had an album where only a couple of songs were showing on Bubble DS and Kinsky. A simply re-scan of the NAS and a reload on Bubble DS sorted it. Why it showed 2 and not the other 8 remains a mystery to me.

I was wondering why my new album art didn't show up in Kinsky. A database rebuild fixed it. Wish I could also do a rebuild on my washing machine, so the missing socks would show up Cool
