A beta release of Songcast is now available. Songcast allows you to send your computer's audio to a Linn DS. Documentation can be found here: http://oss.linn.co.uk/trac/wiki/Songcast

As a beta tester we are very keen to hear of any issues you encounter, particularly regarding setup, usability, and audio drop outs. When making reports please indicate whether you are using a wired or wireless connection from your computer. Also, if you hear drop outs please indicate how often these occur and the configured latency. Furthermore, specify the type of computer and OS.

Just downloaded and installed both. All good so far. I like the extra Songcast functionality...!

tx, interesting! no davaar beta for renew so far?? "File download error: unable to download all files required for the update to complete" it says - no prob on sneaky though...

Songcast has asked me to update. I've tried twice and both times I ended up with the blues screen of death. I'm using Win 7.

Hi abl,

I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties. Could you indicate when the blue screen of death occured. Was it when you were installing, or when turning Songcast on, or when? It would also be very useful if you could send us your c:\Windows\System.dmp file. This records information on why the blue screen of death was triggered.

installed songcast beta on WHS2011 and it still fails to initialise songcast driver. I realise WHS2011 isnt supported, but was just hoping someone had sneaked in a fix for this... maybe next time?

This file may also be called C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP

Hi,
If only using an ADS/1 and not using Songcast (I don't have Win7), is there any benifit or need to install Davaar 7?
