Yes- I tried this some years ago and spent many hours cleaning batches of my collection- It leaves a residue in the groove, which is then deposited on the needle- this required regular cleaning of the needle (fluid and green paper were used) I stopped using it when my dealer said that my needle had a hard deposit on it that was very difficult to remove...and once removed, the needle then showed quite heavy wear (the cartridge was less than 1 year old) I stopped playing the vinyl that was cleaned with this product and replaced any album that I treasured, with a new copy. LP12 Radikal(D), Keel, Khan, Ekos 2, Cadenza Black (Kandid deposit paid), Urika, AK Kontrol(D), 2x AK 3200(D) into KEF 205/2. 2250 into Kef 204/2, 2x LK140 into Kef 206/2s. VDH MC Gold interconnects. VDH Magnum Tri-wired front end. Nordost Vishnu mains. Twin dedicated ring mains. All sat on IsoBlue. |

RE: cleaning records
It's been mentioned but I find an anti-static gun makes a big difference. Quick and easy too...
LP12 (Radikal/D, Keel, Ekos SE, Grado Reference), Naim CD player collecting dust, Croft valve amps (25RS, S4), Kudos C10's |

The Moth i use can also be bought as a kit, It saves a couple of hundred squid. You just build the box for it. If you are any good at DIY/woodwork (you dont have to be brilliant at it.) Its very easy to put together. You just need some MDF or other board. I know a couple of people that have done it. Mud Some boxes with green, some boxes with red and some with blue lights. |

In my opinion it is better to leave the records as they are, than to "clean it" with KDA, it is wasted time. Time is the most expensive factor when cleaning records. Rille |

However when I moved to a vaccum RCM (Moth then KM) the difference in sound quality was huge. I think the Knosti is better than dry cleaning but the ultimate goal has to a vaccum wet cleaning.

RE: cleaning records
Russ Abott/Abbot has a Monks cleaning service on his site.
Cheaper to buy your own machine and put it on some of his wood things. And use one of his power cables. Sounds loads better that way while cleaning so they say. .I just use these. Stops the noise from any RCM.
