Why does it need to be powered on permanently, and is this just at the start? I ask because I normally power off.

And do you mean powered on in stand-bye mode or fully running?

Only for those first 3 weeks, otherwise the burn in takes a lot,lot longer. Then you can power off as normal.

No not running, that is just needless wear on the TT, just the circuitry powered, blue led on.

I've left mine (installed six months ago) powered up for three weeks now, rather than switched off during the week (I work away from home).

Tamper resistant torx (the kind with a pin in the center) were on some klimax cases, allen heads on others that I have seen.

Klimax DS/1/D, Klimax Kontrol/1/D, ATC SCM50SL AT, jRiver Media Center v17 Big Grin
