RE: Is Twonky 6 ready for general use?
Hi

Qnap found a bug with the 6.0.32 file PV sent them and fired it back to them for a resolution. There are lots of angry posts on the Qnap forum asking for 6.0.30 to be updated to 6.0.32, but Qnap seem to be waiting for 6.0.33 to be released (probably quite sensibly) before making the new QPKG. I know 6.0.33 is being built (it was at release candidate 4 last time I heard) so I'd not expect it to be too long in arriving. My advice would be to hang on as it'll likely be sorted out relatively soon.

Interesting. I have renamed albums and album artists and these have correctly been picked up (and more importantly, the previous ones removed) via a rescan, but I've not tried changing a genre one. I think they've also fixed the incorrect times for HD tracks, so that's good too. As you say, I find this version very robust; it's definitely the best to date. I am looking forwards to 6.0.33 to see what that brings to the party.

Hi Bri, yes the wrong track durations on HiRes files has been fixed with 6.0.32. Also changes to Album, Artist, Albumartist and Composer tags do get updated/removed correctly but for some odd ressons I still have problems with the genre tag. I'll play around a bit further to see whether I can nail this issue down...

Yes, I know what you mean; that really can be most irritating. I have just been prescribed a new cream for that, so hopefully it'll clear up in the fullness of time! Tongue
