Does CARA work with the new ADS/1?

Just had long chat with my dealer about all this (what fantastic support!!!). CARA 10 is an option, but what Briain says about running in, is perhaps the key.

Briain, that is a very fair and reasonable comment. I would like to agree, but I have had the ADS/1 now for 5 months (atsa-lorra weeks) and sadly it is not good
As for fallback to cara, sadly LINN does not make it clear that cannot be done, so just wasted about 2 hours faffing about to get nowhere.
TomBK has given me some very useful pointers for which i am very grateful.

I hated davaar aswell, went back to cara 10 successfully (sounded like ADS compared to Marantz CD player!) then the ADS crashed.
Local dealer said Linn asked all sorts of details before acknowledging the power supply was gone.
All in all I am wondering what was the cause of my woes. Davaar definitely sounded cheap and crappy but perhaps Linn have a problem with the ADS power supplies???

For how long after reverting to Cara 10, did your ADS/1 function OK?
Or to put it another way, how long after fall-back,were you able to listen to Cara 10?
