RE: Vintage Linn LPs Do You Remember?
I obtained a sealed copy of Yazoo's Upstairs at Eric's- that has a Linn Selekt Records sticker across the open part of the sleeve- It gave me great pleasure to break the seal and play the record.

LP12 Radikal(D), Keel, Khan, Ekos 2, Cadenza Black (Kandid deposit paid), Urika, AK Kontrol(D), 2x AK 3200(D) into KEF 205/2. 2250 into Kef 204/2, 2x LK140 into Kef 206/2s. VDH MC Gold interconnects. VDH Magnum Tri-wired front end. Nordost Vishnu mains. Twin dedicated ring mains. All sat on IsoBlue.

From a collector's viewpoint you do realise you have totally ruined the value of record! Wink

I have this album and loved it. Really wish linn would release on CD. Did ask them but didnt get a great response. Brilliant music and slab of vinyl as was the american pressing of the Blue Nile first album.

And then there were all the Carole Kidd albums, I bought each and every one and they are sublime.
With each improvement brought to the LP12 they have risen in stature.
1. Carole Kidd.........................AKH003 ...............1984.......ALOI Records
2. All My Tomorrows................AKH005.................1985.......ALOI Records
3. Nice Work..........................AKH006.................1987.......Linn Records
4 The Night We Called It A Day..AKH007................1990.......Linn Records
5. I'm Glad We Met..................AKH017.................1991......Linn Records

A treasure trove. Vinyl at its pinnacle.

My favorite track is *when I dream* from All my tomorrows. So simple but so sublime at the same time

RE: Vintage Linn LPs Do You Remember?
We saw her this year in a very intimate venue with 'cabaret' seating. SWMBO and I were front and centre, and if we were any closer we would have been on stage with her. Cool

It was a real 'hairs on the back of the neck' moment.

We have all the LP's too

I was actually going to ask you if she had that effect, its happened to me too just playing her records at times..................She puts her heart on her sleeve, opens her soul to you. Magic.

And the backing is always just so, it adds the right push here and there but just states the beat and ebb and flow perfectly. Its hard to imagine a more "complete " artiste. She plays with your emotions like a kitten with a ball of wool.

RE: Vintage Linn LPs Do You Remember?
It was just her and a guitar man (forgotten his name oops)

She was a laugh as well. Lots of 'should have gone to specsave' moments when she couldn't read the set list.

TBH I think it was the best gig I have been to
