RE: Solo Acoustic Guitar
I will second Michael Hedges (breakfast in the field, Aerial boundaries and watching my life goes by) as well as Pierre Bensusan that was an inspiration for Michael Hedges and dedicated a song to him (Bensusan it's the title from Aerial Boundaries). Very nice also Tommy Emmanuel and Leo Kottke.

Cheers

I bought Accoustic Live as well and I can deffinetly second that this is a great album. Thanks bbrip and also thanks for all the other great suggestions.

I can recommend the live albums with Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds. Tim Reynolds is a genius on his guitar and his solos get's the best out of my system.

Jakob

RE: Solo Acoustic Guitar
I second John Renbourn, Chris Jones & Leo Kottke.

In the same league as Leo -and from the same Takoma era- is Peter Lang * try The Thing At The Nurseryroom Window - awesome!

Stefan Grossman is also very good.

In terms of solo bottleneck, try Ellen McIlwaine or David Tipton.

One of my favorite guitar CD's is Dean Magraw - broken silence. Not solo per se on every track but a true masterpiece!!

Steve James picks a mean string and so does Pete Berryman.
Forgot to add:

Terry Tufts - One Night Solo - wonderful CD (Borealis)

Rory Block - Blues Walkin' Like A Man

Kelly Joe Phelps - Lead Me On
