George Harrison 29th Oct- 10years

I feel quite disappointed that there was no recognition on TV of the 10 year anniversary of the loss of George Harrison.
I for one, have been playing his music for the whole weekend (except for 1 minutes silence for Dan and Marco on Sunday)
Did I miss something or have we really forgotten the man that gave us so much more that 'My sweet Lord' and 'Withnail and I' ?

Yes, was a sad loss, however. I believe you may be a month too early with the anniversary. Died 29 November 2001.

You may be interested in the Martin Scorsese film "Living In The Material World" profiling George's life. Keep an eye open, hopefully on BBC2 later in November.

I saw the Martin Scorsese film and it was great! You'll enjoy it immensely. I saw it here in the U.S. on cable TV -- it was a two part documentary film. I really miss George.

Rediscovering his work again I really think he deserves more attention. The posthume ´Concert for George´ btw is my personal favourate music dvd to date - one of those ´wish you were there´
performances, also due to the now heartly missed Billy Preston.

For those that happen to be in Amsterdam at the end of the month,
on Tuesday the 29th of November there will be a one-off cinematic
performance of Living in the material world in the Amsterdam Tuschinski theatre, a genuine art deco cinema.
