Linn aktiv review on Dagogo.com

Dagogo.com has a review of the Linn Akurate aktiv system. It is a very positive review. Posted on November 2011. Just go to the site, then to the reviews and scroll down until you find the link. It is by Ed Momkus. The reason I bring this up is that he talks about adjusting the gain on the back of the amps. He said he adjusted the upper base by 1.5db, the midrange by .5db and the tweeter by -.5bd. Nothing with the super tweeter. Everything that I know about these amps says that this cannot be done. You can only adjust the gain by 1db at a time. I know because I just changed my speaker input to the base boost and then adjusted the gain on the base by 2bd. This takes a resistor out of the path on the normal lower base input. This can only be done if you are in aktiv mode. I can recommend this tweak as I did hear an improvement. I was wondering if anyone else has read this and would care to comment. The manual also shows the gain adjustment to be in 1db increments.
