I hope it was worth the drive?Tongue

We use only the best ingredients at Paul's RestaurantRolleyes

I know lots of people that drive a hundred miles to meet their friends for coffee, or to go see a movie.
Aye. I have done that very often. It seems that most of my friends like to keep far away from me.Tongue Movies on the other hand...well...the couch and the setup make it hard to fight the inertia to go anywhere unless it is something good on IMAX.

RE: How Do You Spend Your Weekend?
Jesus I winced at driving 200 miles the other day...

So begs the question, if you spend so much time in your car, what sort of system do you have in your car, since that must be your main source of music Wink
Personally I have a Alpine head unit, it makes some noises but what called hi fi, but then again I prefer to listen to news, politics and sport in the car....

BTW In the UK we have these new fangled devices called Airplanes, they make light work of a 1000 miles Tongue

LP12 / Renew / KK in Black / Tunebox full of cards / LK140 X2 / Klout on the Bass / Keltiks / lots of Silver Linn Cables / thick grey expensive cable under the floor boards AKA K600 Big Grin -
Qnap/Twonky/Kinsky/Netgear and some other stuff I almost understand Rolleyes
Vintage untuned and slightly deaf ears !

I don't have regular rituals.

One thing I did this Sunday morning that I do a few Sunday mornings a year is enjoy Beethoven's 6th with a large mug of Earl Grey tea.

Strangely enough, I had not even turned on the system. It's just the stock thingy that came with the van; I sprang for the iPod digital kit and I plug an old 60 (or 80) GB beast into it so that I can control it from the console. I generally don't spend that much time on the road, but whenever I do have to go anywhere it's usually about 1,000 mi at a minimum. Back in 2003, we did end up doing a little over 6,000 mi in three weeks. Now THAT was pretty wicked.

EDIT: Out here we have these old fangled things called the Cost Mountains, and they make light work of airplanes. Tongue I had considered getting one (or a part in one), but there's no where to put down in an emergency (and the variable weather could leave one stuck somewhere in a town of 100 people for a couple of days until it clears up). Besides, can't listen to music in one, and MOST importantly there is NO way I could have transported even a centre channel speaker let alone a REL Studio III in one of those. Big Grin Big Grin

RE: How Do You Spend Your Weekend?
I had to look up Cost Mountain Sad
We didn't cover the Yukon area in Georgraphy at school in the UK Wink

When we bought a new house, it had to be in walking distance of 2 pubs ( 2 mins max ), walking distance from the main town ( 10 mins ) and no more than 40 minutes from 2 regional airports.
Now I'm thinking in comparison, Linnrd he's Grizzly Adams and I'm the like the City Slicker....

So this all leads me to the key question - How far away is your nearest decent Indian Restaurant, if you have to measure in days, I'm going to have to UPS ayou a curry Big Grin
