Yes. There is a delay. But if you use vlc, you can synchronise the video and the audio. You can help yourself with the subtitles to find the delay. (tools -> synchronization)
I am trying to find a way to send raw PCM to reduce to delay.

Hi Bluenote,

I'm triyng to follow your tuto. But one thing that I don't understand is:
"Before, you had add a custom radio channel on Itune like this:
http://the_local_ip_address_of_ your_Linux/stream.ogg"

Not sure what I have to do

In advance, thnaks for your help

RE: songcast Linux
If I read correctly, just substitute the IP address of your Linux laptop (or desktop) for "the_local_ip_address_of_ your_Linux" in the above instructions, so you end up with a url that's valid within the context of your local network - something like http://192.168.xxx.xxx/stream.ogg, depending on the address range set up in your dhcp server...

It'd be advisable to go into the dhcp server config - typically your router - to reserve an IP address for your Linux device so that the url always resolves correctly.

Yes, it's correct, in tunin, add the channel address something like that: htt://192.168.a.b/stream.ogg, where 192.168.a.b is the local address of your computer where is played the music, DVD...

Enjoy!
