As the OP seemed to come on here after taking his deck in, not much research it seems and was anything put in writing? Not rubbishing the way the OP has gone about things but there is always two sides to these matters.

In my case my deck has gone in after advice from this forum and my dealer was in regular contact beforehand and when I visited last Saturday everything was explained precisely.

Just my tuppence worth - my deck is having a service a new arm/cartridge/armboard fitted.

Hi Paul,

Just out of interest, what arm/cartridge are you going to?

Rolleyes RE: LP12 not working as well as pre service
Hi Mud

Not sure what you are getting at here - just rubbishing me for my style of writing in a forum or what? Big Grin I do type quickly when posting in forums and my style is likened to writing SMS's.

But my point was that there should be good communication between the customer and the and the supplier and when ever possible what is being offered by the supplier or Dealer should be put in writing. My point was not debating whether or not a letter of complaint should be written just centering on the "terms of agreement". And by research I meant by the OP, not only on which Dealer to use but the nature and requirements of the work needed to be done. This forum is IMHO, in the short time I been a member, a gold mine of valuable information and perhaps like myself the OP should have asked some questions on here before embarking on his "upgrade".

BTW in the context of what you posted above the word "to" is spelt "too" Big GrinBig Grin

Hi Wenge1

Thanks for asking - I am swapping my 1986 Linn Basik + and K9 for a mint Ittok LVII and Linn Adikt together with new armboard and a full service. Here is the relevant thread: -

And Mud's second sentence is a statement not a question - and there's an apostrophe missing from the first word as well.

But let's not get into criticising posters' literacy, shall we?

Rozel makes a valid point. You rubbish his use of English in a reply containing similar errors to his. I'd call that cause for some humour.

Agreed, Mudcrutch commenting on the English of another poster, with a line like:

"What i love about this place? One thing wrong their ,Now two thing's."

It should be there not their. Another classic Greengrocer's apostrophe from him in "thing's". i not capitalised, comma instead of full stop. Or was this all deliberate?
