Happy as a clam
My first post on this Forum.I just wanted to thank those responsible for gently nudging and prodding me to take the plunge and purchase my first LP12. Glevethan and Peter S were instrumental in helping me along in my journey. Thanks also to Chris Harban for crafting a beautiful case for my new wonderful instrument. I look forward to contributing to this forum as time allows- right now I am up to my elbows in LP's that need cleaning, but I truly am as happy as a clam!

Congrats. I still remember getting my Linn in 1979. With lots of help from ThomasOK it's going strong more than 30 years later. An investment in your sound future.

Excellent! Glad to hear it and thanks for a fun couple of days - I'm still yet to hear any of the vinyl I brought at Dave's and Reckless Records..........

Welcome to the forum and I am glad to have been of help in the "nudging" department. Of course it only helps matters when you have had the foremost LP12 guru build and setup your deck! I hope you did not overwork him as he still has others to visit before ending up at my abode to fit a Khan - and listen to my new Klimax DS! If we send him back overworked and stressed out than Jane may not allow him over again Big Grin

PS don't forget to eat and drink every now and then. Listening to records 24 hours a day many not be good for your healthCool

Well FYI I'm pacing myself ok so far and here's Obsessed 1's newly Keeled and Radikaled LP12, complete with a really nice and understated Wenge Harban plinth. As usual, it looked so much better in the flesh. I, finished it on Friday and spent the remaining time in Calgry optomising the set up of both an Ayre system (shown here) and also a Naim system. The weather was being good to me and was cold but clear.

This afternoon I arrived in San Francisco in order to help two clients, and the weather here was very bright and warm! For once, the Golden Gate did not have it's head in the clouds!Cool and I managed to take this picure en-route to the first of these clients, Forum member and occasional poster, Chris Morton:

I'm Tiger Pawing his deck and sorting out a speaker poblem for him FYI.

Here's the kit I needed for the loudspeaker works - Any guesses?

Never thought a crowbar would be part of the requirements for suspension setup of an LP-12, Peter.Tongue I have new respect for these turntables. But seriously, that looks awfully like an interrogation kit.
