RE: hifi Racks
The Tonlaget Mimer is the best hifi-furniture as far as I know. It is not widely spread so far, but if you have the oportunity to try it I would higly recommend you to do so.

I have got the less expensive version "Harmony" and it is also very good (much better than Naim Fraim to give an example). Frame only sounds impressive without the musical qualities the Harmony shelf gives.

Off the shelf. No pun intended.

Colour, finish, choice, all personalised for you. A doddle. And if not easy for you (there are a few details to note) then rope a handyman friend/neighbour in to help.

Use hollow bar/spruce instead and you have a Hutter.

Win win.

-If component A doesn't deliver then remove it, don't sit it on a spike.
-Which colour should I paint my small to medium room? Magnolia/Jasmine white/TusKan white? Please help me. I mean, I can't trust my eyes, I need yours.
- You are the problem with audio and myth. The dealers plant the seed. You grow it.

Also, for other "springy" turntables, a classic solution is the sandblaster. Suitable for a seperate wall shelf also.

Possibly the quickest and cheapest solution without going for an entire new racking system. Or both.

RE: hifi Racks
Interesting - would be curious how it sounds, & what difference if any the support struts made... I guess threaded steel bars might be good for Rebar McEntire, at least Smile

Linn sources, amps, & cables; Spendor speakers

RE: hifi Racks
krap, thanks for the useful contribution.

Maybe ChrisH could make up some sandblasters that would match his plinths.

Has anyone got experience with them? Compared to what?

RE: hifi Racks
IMO, the best place for a turntable is a solid floor. Suspended floors or framed walls are a compromise regardless of support hardware used.

LP12, Exposure amps, Tannoy Speakers, Mana Supports
