Majik DSi changes input and emties playlist
Hi,
I have a quite annoying problem. After I updated to the latest (beta?) version the DSi has started to act a bit weird. When in stand-by mode, it often changes input to my Macbook, which I sometimes use to stream Spotify. This wouldn't be such a big problem, if it wouldn't empty the playlist at the same time! Usually I create a playlist of my 10 latest CD's or so, and then just listen to them straight with repeat (2 months old daughter at home, so the convenience of the DSi is just even more important now than ever!). Now I need to reload the playlist every day since the DSi does this strange thing almost every night. At first I thought it was Linn Songcaster problem on the Macbook, but even if the computer is off this happens. Any ideas? I use Davaar 5 (4.5.3). I don't seem to be able to update (it says: "Warning: no update required"). Thanks in advance! /Magnus |

One cause of this which we are aware of is certain Netgear routers failing to give DHCP lease renewals. What router are you using ? Do these symptoms occur at regular time intervals (every 12 hours possibly) ? |

RE: Majik DSi changes input and emties playlist
Hi
For your information, one thing I've noticed is that whenever I start Twonky Beam on my iPad (I regularly use it to stream videos to my WDTV box) during its device discovery process, it lifts all my Linn devices from standby (MDS-I and KDS/KK) and switches them all to the UPnPAV input (even though that input is set to 'hidden' in the devices). FYI It doesn't lift the WD box from standby (and doesn't see it unless I have lifted it from standby manually). Of course, that means I have to then put my MDS-I back to it's Toslink input before I get sound from my WD box (the first time it happened, I had selected the Toslink input before starting Twonky Beam and I couldn't work out why there was no sound; it had changed the input to UPnPAV) ![]() Bri |

However, I'm using a Netgear router that got new firmware quite recently, I'll try to get an update on that one! /Magnus |

If songcast (or airplay) on your Macbook is turned on (with a DS selected) then it will cause the DS to come out of standby (if it was in standby) and switch to the Macbook (or Net Aux) source. You aren't inadvertently turning this on on your Macbook ? (However this would not clear the Playlist) |

RE: Majik DSi changes input and emties playlist
Hi,
This is not the problem. When I switch on Songcast the DSi changes input to Macbook automatically, and when I switch it off it goes to standby. These are both nice functionalities, however it can't be the cause of my problem since it occurs even if the Macbook is turned off. Also, as you mention before, it doesn't clear the playlist. I also checked the netgear router and it doesn't have any updated firmware. So I'm still lost here... Any input is appreciated! Thanks Magnus |

Once completed press 'Send', and fill in the form with a name so I can find the message. Let me know when this is done and I'll take a look |
