It's the cost of entry for newcomers without the requisite knowledge and support network that I was leading up to. If any prospective purchasers had someone like stunta around to chat with, I'm sure they would end up with a very satisfying vinyl setup that would be hard to match with a digital setup; the problem is that they don't.Sad The other problem is the sheer lack of vinyl for the music that many listen to these days. However, it is nice to see vinyl back on Amazon.Smile

Yes, there does seem to be a distinct lack of LP12 specialists, even in the UK. But the Rega is easy enough to setup and maintain isn't it? Plug and play compared to an LP12.

I'm lucky the modern music I want to buy is usually available on vinyl. I rarely have to buy the CD and listen in the car.

Whilst I like handling and owning a vinyl collection, the music is foremost and I would definitely shift to DS player if I thought it clearly better.
