IR Pass Through
Hi,
I have a 2nd Gen Akurate DS and a KK. The KK is connected to the DS and has been configured through Config. I had hoped to have all my system except for the Akurate and lp12 out of sight, however, the Akurte does not pass volume commands down to the KK from the remote kontrol. Volume does work from kinsky though. Should IR commands be passed through or am I hoping for too much? Thank you David |

That's great thank you. Is there any quick reset you can use on an rCU to to just connect in the back of a KK. I have several from my old knekt in my old house, but they would need reprogramming.. (says he hunting for a machine with a serial port...). David |

You could buy a Basik 3 IR RCU. That needs no programming, just does IR passthrough, volume and power.
Main System: Renew DS > Exotik+DA/D > A2200/D > 242s (mk2) & A3200/D > 106c, 104c's (using Linn Silvers & K400, on Hutter rack) Dining Room: Sneaky DS > Majik 109s (using "K200") Bedroom: Majik DS > Tivoli Radio Model 3 + Companion Speaker |

I use an IR repeater. It works on KK, KDS and Sat box in basement.
About $20.00 from Best Buy. Wall warts for power. Klimax DS/1/D, Klimax Kontrol/1/D, ATC SCM50SL AT, jRiver Media Center v17  Salty Dog system RenewDS, Karin, Klout, Tukans and of course jRiver. |
