RE: iPad control point comparison
Kinsky (on iOS) and Konductor are my favourite CPs, primarily because they allow me on to interact with the playlist at an album level. Being able to manage the playlist a whole album at a time is something I find particularly valuable -- it just suits the way I listen to music as does the way these two CPs let me display the playlist with an album-based hierarchy.
Kinsky gets used most of time now because of the way it seamlessly handles source switching of our DS/KK combo -- although for purely playlist use I still think Konductor has the most elegant interface. We also have Songbook Lite installed on the iPhone and it's also very good, but I find its playlist management very clunky but as noted above this is purely a personal thing. Kinsky on a laptop, on both Mac and Windows, also get used occasionally, but not that often TBH. I find even a smallish laptop to be quite obtrusive in the listening room and much prefer using an iPhone/iPad.
