what to choose on a AK DS
Hai I have a akurate streamer. My music is on a mac mini. Now have different options, to play the music.
1. using playlists connection 2. using net aux connection 3. using song cast connection mac and akds are on a hard wired network questions: 1. what is the difference between the three 2. song cast shows up in the source list, but net aux not 3. I am looking for a kind of manual which explains the differences, the quality of input, etc can somebody help? |

RE: what to choose on a AK DS
Best use 1 (playlist) for playback on the DS. "net aux" is for iThang(iPhone, iPad, iPod touch)-playback via wifi, songcast for "external" ethernet sources like a PC or Mac.
Q2: If net aux is not shown, you can change that in Konfig, BUT I would leave it like that, because if it's hidden, your DS will automatically switch to "net aux" if you choose the DS on your iThang. I only use this to listen to audiobooks from my iPhone via the Hifi-system. q3: Unfortunately there is no decent DS manual :-((( G-ADSM, Marantz AV8003, Ak242&225 a. w. 3* 4200/D & C6100/D, B&W CDMSNT, Velodyne DD10, Oppo BD-83SE, Panasonic TX-P50V10E, Rega P3-24 2nd system: MajikDSi & C2200/D & B&W 805 HT-room: KDS/1 & Abacus C2 |
