4.3.3 and the new 'Back' button; a massive thank you to the Linn Design team!
Hi Folks

A massive thank you for the new 'back' button in the iOS Kinsky! I've not been playing music much since the new Kinsky was released and thus I've only just noticed that change; I think that's absolutely fantastic and it provides a real USP for Kinsky (no other CP's have that).

With the previous arrangement, the back button used to be labled with where it would take you to, so it could be labeled with an album name, a person's name, a genre name, or even just a letter (in alpha-grouped trees); the key thing was that it changed all the time. Last year, I bought my mother an MDS-I and an iPad, and she loves the sound of the system, but she sometimes gets a little lost in the music menus, and when that happens, I get the support phone call to ask me how to 'get the music back on'. Nearly every time that happened, I was trying to get her to use the back button to get to the main menu (so I knew where it was at and thus could work my way forward to what she wanted) but I had to describe its physical location as there was no way to know what it was labeled as (and it was sometimes labeled just with 'A' etc).

That it now just says 'Back' will cut my phone call times (and frustration) massively. Of course, it will also save her an absolute fortune in my support fees (she's 79 and had to take on a window cleaning round just to pay for my Kinsky support charges; it's quite good for her health, but some of these upper windows in Edinburgh castle have quite a long drop below them)! Smile

I am totally delighted and think it's a really wonderful improvement; let's see how it goes down with the drunks at the next party evening (I reckon it will make things much easier for folks not used to controlling the system).

Bri
