Furman Elite-16 PF i
I am seriously thinking of buying a Furman Elite-16 PF i, is it really worth the investment?

I can't really have a demo as my local distributor does not carry this model. Smile

yes, it is! do a search for furman discussion in this forum. after my dealer heard the furman at my place he became dealer for furman as well - think that means a bit. your're always invited for listening.

system can be found in profile

RE: Furman Elite-16 PF i
I've bought 10 i not so long ago for some other reasons than improving sound.
The more I was surprised by the improvement it provided. A really great product
considering the price.

Had a home of one last month. Very impressive when used on the amp sections. Not so impressed when used with DS, and didn't do anything for the video side of the system.

But, Worth it for the amps alone. Wink

RE: Furman Elite-16 PF i
I got a second hand one about a couple of months ago. Like pdcman said, I was surprised at the improvements when connected to my M5100/D - I thought the dynamik power supply would negate most improvements. Firmed the bass up, timing and tempo became more assured and the music became less smeared. Very little effects on my Exotik+DA/D that I can hear. It also got rid of the cricket sounds from my Panasonic plasma! It freed up some of the mains socket, which I can now use for another project (Homeplug ethernet).

Unfortunately not prepared (able) to spend that amount of money. However the much cheaper AC-210 A E
COMPACT POWER CONDITIONER WITH AUTO-RESETTING VOLTAGE PROTECTION
sounds like a good proposition. The reviews I have read on it have been excellent.

By the way my dealer has given me an open invitation to go and listen and he did say that he felt the difference to the Amps was very noticable but also he said it didn't seem to have any beneficial effect on the streamers.

The world will end on 1st May 2014....
