Can anyone help?

I've been successfully using Kinsky on an ipad to control a DS for over a year.

For several days now, although my library still appears in the left window, I can no longer select anything to go in the playlist - I keep pressing, no results, nothing appears, just the blue circle and arrow symbol, so no music.

I'm a techno dummy but I've tried the obvious - restarted the ipad, my mac, router and twonky server. No result.

Any suggestions anyone?

Could be worth deleting Kinsky, restarting the iPad, then reinstalling Kinsky?

Sounds like Kinsky can't see your DS. Does anything show up under the rooms button in Kinsky (this is the center button along the top of Kinsky)?. If it's empty check that the DS has an IP address by pressing the "Help" button on the remote control. Generally the IP address will start with 192.168.*.*.

If you haven't done so try powering off/on the DS. This will force it to pick up a new IP address from the DHCP server.

Same problem. Same scenario except I'm using a WinXP desktop. Kinsky has worked fine; Konfig finds the DS w/out a problem; the DS plays Internet radio OK.. I've removed Kinsky 4.3.3, cleaned registry etc, rebooted, reinstalled Kinsky 4.2.3, which had worked previously but still no room or DS discovery. Weird!

Curiously, if I enter the DS' IP address in a browser, there's no response even though it's playing as I type - I thought that brought up a web interface?!? Time to reboot the DS. & AK... Ahh, web interface is back... Discovery works again too.

smn585, have you tried switching your DS off & on again with the power switch at the back? (resolved the issue for me)

Briiliant - as simple as switching the DS off and on again and the whole problem's fixed - thanks very much, I have music again.

When you have that blue circle and arrow Kinsky can see the DS ok, but it's not switched to the playlist, but possibly something like Songcast, which is why you can't add music.

I have had problems if I switch from a WiFi to a wired connection on my MAC sometimes, which seems to be due to Kinsky wanting to communicate on its default connection ( WiFi) and not the wired one.
