phono pre for Adikt

hi, which budget phone pre would be recommended for an Adikt... well not for me personally, but for the cartridge...

How about the Musical Fidelity V-LPS II, NAD PP2i. 3i, Pro-Ject Phono Box, Rega?
This would serve as an intermediate solution before I buy a Majik I oder DSM.

-1 for the Lejonklou Kinki but only because it's way over your budget.

If you get to hear it though you will find it hard to ignore as it's so good , especially with an Adikt up front . It was developed with this cartridge particularly in mind and the combination is very persuasive. You could be someone who rightly posts +1 in future when someone recommends the Kinki.

If your budget is £100.00 then Creek ,Rega ,Nad or Project makes sense.

Yes, the above suggestions would work well as intermediate solutions as you save for a Majik DS-I (with internal phono stage).

With that said, the Adikt is a surprisingly adept cartridge, and its performance can support a high quality stand-alone phono stage like the lejonklou - or in my case, a Graham Slee Era Gold Mk. V. So, at some point, it would be worthwhile to hear an adikt through a good MM phono stage (including the Majik DS), just so you can hear what it can do.

You may find out that the adikt is better than you thought.

I think Colin has hit the nail on the head with this one. I will just add a couple of thoughts. The Lejonklou Kinki3 is a definite upgrade over the internal phono stage of the Majik DSM as well so it might still make sense for you although it is well over budget.

Of the lower price phono stages mentioned I find the Rega Fono Mini more musical than the comparable NAD and ProJect units. I have not heard a current Creek unit so can't comment on that.
