I have disabled songcast. I forget why, it has been a while, but it wasn't because it played well with my system.
Do you have a 3 year old grandchild? Mine cannot be disabled! Klimax DS/1/D, Klimax Kontrol/1/D, ATC SCM50SL AT, jRiver Media Center v17  Salty Dog system RenewDS, Karin, Klout, Tukans and of course jRiver. |

Left the network cable unplugged all night and it's still not switched back to the pc (via songcast)

Updated to davaar 7 and whatever the newest version of songcast is and it's stopped doing it ...

She does change the input regularly ... But this was happening when she wasn't even in the room! Maybe she has telekinetic powers?  As I understand it, it is possible to disable a child... Did you try to disable IR or not? No reason not to see if it helps as it is easy to do.

I did ... But I'm not sure I gave it a long enough time to test the theory...
I'll switch it back on and see if the issue returns. The reason I'm not so sure is that the hifi has its back to the front window an is enclosed in a tv stand I also live on a hill Si the houses opposite me have their first floor at te same height as my ground floor. For it to be IR it would have to be a damn powerful remote an someone using it in thier bedroom ... If that makes sense Unless it was someone doing it on perpose ... Which I might give the time of day of it was only happening when I was listening to music The only remote I have in the room is the tv remote and that doesn't do anything to the linn even pointed straight at it So the only other cause could be something else giving off IR ... But this is an issue that only happened just after I upgraded ... I once had the same problem: I accidentally left the songcast program on my mac connected to the sneaky and after listening to a playlist for some time it spontaneously switched back to songcast mode. Disabling songcast in the menu bar helped. The version of the songcast program was 4.1.x iirc, DS is Davaar 5.

I've got IR switched back on on the linn now and it hasn't done it again ... Its been at least a week ...
