Mountain Lion Audio Airplay
By the way, no more need to use Linn Songcast for Mountain Lion users. Go in Settings and set your DS as audio output and voila! It's alway there and very stable. Nevertheless, I'm not sure about the quality of what's coming out.
Also, the way it buffers is ...interesting? Renew DS, Klimax 350A, Majik DSI, Komponent 110, Sennheiser HD 600 and HD 800, Ikemi, Wakonda, Epicure M1, Magnepan. |

RE: Mountain Lion Audio Airplay
I think songcast app allow you to control the volume within dsm while airplay is not allow to do so
Songcast should give a better sound . Anyway, i havnt installed mountain yet so this is just a guess |

RE: Mountain Lion Audio Airplay
Cool feature, thanks for pointing that out
The only big difference I can notice (besides volume control as already noted) is the lag created by airplays buffer, making it pretty much useless for watching video on your mac and using your DS player as the speakers Songcasts latency is negligible however, making it much more useful, for me at least. Cheers Majik DS-I(D)-->Linn Silvers-->Akurate 4200(D)-->K400-->B&W CM9's (bi-amped)-->my ears |
