Unclear about Kiko
Just what is Kiko's role? Am I correct in assuming it's Linn's Sonos with Wings?

(Which is a good thing).
I guess its raison d'etre is to provide a simple, high quality, complete home entertainment system for the 21st century whilst not diluting the Linn brand. It looks good, build quality seems good, but I think it's much less musical than a Sneaky DS and Majik 109s, let alone Sekrit and 109s, either of which would cost the same or less... That said, I do think it will do well in the "lifestyle" market and give Linn a foothold there. It's also interesting that dealers are being told Linn still requires them to do a full installation, despite the box coming with all cables (preterminated) and new software that is easier to use. "The problem I have with the photos in this article is I still don't get a good feel for what size the Kiki and it's speakers are."
I had the same problem, but going to the tech page and comparing the speaker measurements to my Kans mk1 they should look significantly smaller. At first, comparing just height I thought they were not much smaller, 26cm Vs my Kans 30cm. However, when you also take the width into consideration they (14.6 Vs Kans 19) will pass the (my) WAF much easier. ![]() Here is a quick comparison, in cm (sorry feet and inches people!). Surface Kiko Kan mk1 M109 Height 26 - 30 - 32.7 width 14.6 - 19 - 19.2 depth 18.7 - 16 - 25.6 I'll let you measure your own favourite wine bottle.

RE: Unclear about Kiko
Thanks for the link to Andrew Everard's excellent initial review, Grimreaper64. I look forward to his full one in Gramophone.
Whyever can't the details on Linn's website be as clear and informative? I suppose the aim is to whet the appetite to encourage a visit to the dealer rather than tell you everything on the site? Anyway, it seems it's a great product. Good luck to it - and Linn. Vic.
