Why the Frequency Response of audio outputs is not specified in the specification of Linn network players? What Frequency Response of Linn network players?
THD+N for Klimax DS is less 0.002%. For what Frequency Response?
For example Naim indicates Frequency Response and even Phase Response for its network player NDS.

I've measured in-room response down to 16Hz and up to 32kHz through the DS and down the chain. Obviously, I haven't got distortion numbers on that, but as AMA says above.... Smile

I wonder what value of THD for frequencies from 16 Hz to, for example, 25-30 Hz waveform level 0 dB at KDS/1 and KDS/0? It would be good if official person of Linn shared information about it.

You dindn't mean subsonic, didn't you? Perhaps 16 Hz to 30 kHz or perhaps the audible range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz or 20 Hz to 100 kHz?

You even do not get this numbers sorted so why worry? KDS/1 is the best source I ever had the pleasure to listen to. Measurment isn't that important if it's all about music.

I have seen a lot of reviews of MDS, ADS and KDS and measurements always were excellent.

But...often it might not be about music. It might be about design and building and modding as Mihaylov is rather fond of doing. And...there is a lot of pleasure in building things. It seems weird, but there is a closer connection to the piece; of the few two-wheelers I have, the one I am most fond of is the one that I have taken apart and put together to the greatest extent. Where are the psychologists when you need them? Tongue

Yours speakers have frequency response from 28 Hz and higher. And you have not KDS.

You have KDS/1 or KDS/0? Whether you like to listen the organ music? How well your system reproduces the sound of the organ from KDS?

K-DS/1 (and R-DS briefly in system) which does a nice job on the low C of the organ. Also, the movie sound effects tend to push a bit of air. Measurement was done using sine-wave test tones and calibrated mic. I believe that the K-DS sees anything below 15Hz as DC and filters it, because I got nothing at 8Hz. I could try burning it to CD and running it through the CDT-300 and BDP-95 when I get back home and report back if you are interested.
