RE: ROKK top plate for Lp12
Its never been mentioned on these forums to my knowledge. Probably a good thing too. I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
Its advertised on a well known auction site here. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Linn-LP12-turn...0652168084 An undercover agent for the Blues. ![]() The Sara Doctor. thesaradoctor@gmail.com |

RE: ROKK top plate for Lp12
I'd be very sceptical of someone that claims that a Lingo doesn't need a switch cutout - just shows you how much R&D went into it.
By the way, is this from that bloke who posted here about doing something like this? The copy certainly sounds like it. RE: ROKK top plate for Lp12
It looks like the one a member on here was building a few months back.
I cant find the thread though. I see the same question is on the green forum also. Mud. Some boxes with green, some boxes with red and some with blue lights. |

RE: ROKK top plate for Lp12
Why should it necessarily be a bad thing? It looks reasonably machined in the pictures. Maybe someone will post with their findings. I suspect the comment about the Lingo really refers to the Armageddon. There are a couple of contact numbers on the listing, so it's easy to find out

RE: ROKK top plate for Lp12
There is a lot of faults in the description of the Linn top-plate in addition to the Lingo without needed hole. He don't understand how and why the steel plate is bent.

RE: ROKK top plate for Lp12
Well, i have a Rokk top plate fitted to my lp12.
I`ve not posted on here before. I have no connection to the designer/seller of the Rokk. My lp12 spec is:- afro plynth, trampolin 1, lingo 1, sole s/c, mission774 arm, denon dl103r and of course rokk top plate. Lp12 first bought 1990, so a few bits changed over the years. However, one thing that hasnt changed is the presentation of music, its still a lp12. Regarding the rokk, fit and finnish are very good, set up is quicker than standard plate. For me it`s a huge improvement `sound quality |
