DSP issue 5103
When I start up the 5103 now it says CS4926 failed to initialise and when I switch to a surround sound source it says DSP not responsing.
This is a late blue screen DTS version. The stereo DAC works perfectly luckily and so does any analogue source. Any ideas or would I have to replace the digital board? I don't use the surround sound much and haven't for the past week and it worked fine then. RE: DSP issue 5103
That code sounds like a part code for a cirrus logic chip to me, it's possible that either this chip, the power source to it or the crystal oscillator that drives it has failed.

RE: DSP issue 5103
Thanks, would this be at all possible, easy or cheap to fix?

If it's the chip possibly not, if it's a voltage regulator or crystal oscillator then it's entirely possible though it would need a competent engineer with a scope to look at it, I don't have all the tools I used to due to lack of space/change of career direction but darren at class a might be able to sort it for you. |
