When albums rules the world - bbc 4
Hi
Been watching BBC 4's series on the Lp's influence and impact from the early 60's to 90's. It brings back a lot of memories and I have to agree that buying a vinyl album was an event not just a financial transaction.
I noticed that Trevor Nelson ( a 'young' lad) was displaying a LP12 with the lid off, Ittok arm and a cartridge ***500**.
Can anyone remember/know of a catridge that has 500 as part of its' name? "500" was all that was visible on screen.
I have to say, he was/has been the only LP12 user interviewed.

Stanton? I saw the programme (and Nelson's LP12!) but couldn't see the cart clearly either.

Mick

EDIT: Just looked on iplayer and Nelson's cartridge was a Linn Adikt, only shown from the front and from a distance. The close up clips were of a different setup.

The Stanton 500 is/was a fairly common sight on 1200/1210's.
